After My Bath

After my bath I try, try, try
To rub myself until I’m dry, dry, dry (pretend to rub body with a towel)
Just think how much less time it would take
If I were a dog and could shake, shake, shake (shake body)

This is the Way (with scarves)

Pretend to wash body part with the scarves

This is the way we wash our face, wash our face, wash our face

How it Went: “Bubble Bath Pirates” was definitely the biggest hit amongst the kids and the adults loved “Bears in the Bath.” This was a really fun storytime theme, next time I do it I plan on using bubbles!

  1. do yo make your flannelboards? The flannel at our local fabric store doesnt seem to “stick” –as in the top pieces fall off the background, noted its all polyester these days….do you have a trick for making the small pieces stay on? Flannel used to come in wool but cant seem to find any….thanks!

    1. Hi Paula! I make all of my own flannelboards using felt purchased from local craft stores (usually Michaels or AC Moore). When I’m low on time I print out a picture, laminate it (I have a laminator but contact paper works as well) and put velcro on the back. I also find that a tilted flannelboard helps the pieces stay on better. I hope that helps!

  2. Thanks! I’ve got to try one. In my head i have a blue background (ocean) with fish and other beach-y items for easy portable fun when sharing beach vacation with the grandkids!
